Welcome to H & J Water Company!
The H&J Water Company is a non-profit mutual benefit corporation run by community volunteers. The volunteers are elected by the community for a two year term. Its predecessor organization was a non-profit mutual benefit association formed in the 1960s.
NOTICE TO ALL REALTORS
If you are selling a house in the H&J Water Company district please be aware of the following:
1. The seller's must be current on their water bills.
2. The buyer needs to be sent a Membership Application or Transfer Fee (which has a $50 fee associated with it). The buyer is also sent a copy of the Articles of Incorporation, the Bylaws, and the Rules and Regulations of the water company.
3. If the property is in good standing, then the Transfer Membership Fee is $2,500.00 and must be paid at the end of escrow for the water to be transferred into the new owner's name.
4. If the property is not in good standing and membership has been terminated; then a New Membership Fee must be paid which is $7,500.00 by the close of escrow.
